Alluring Kashmir- Places to visit in Kashmir

"Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift..."   - Albert Einstein

Jammu and Kashmir are known as the Paradise of India. One of those very beautiful places that are known all over the world. However, it always became a topic of war between India and Pakistan. Beside this, its natural beauty is amazing. From the ancient times, there were a lot of problems related with the place, in the name of religion. But as per now, every thing is fine and is going well.

So here are some of the famous places from Kashmir, that are as follows:-

1. Dal Lake

2. Amaranth Caves

3. Pari Mahal

4. Martand Sun Temple

5. Wular Lake

Dal Lake

Dal lake is located in Srinagar, the capital city of JK, during summer season. This lake is also known as the Lake of Flowers or the Srinagar Jewels or Jewel in the crown of Kashmir. The incredible beauty of the lake is beyond imagination. The best time to visit this beautiful nature's blessing, is during the month from July to December. I am including July because of the  beautiful flower of Lotus, that blooms here in the months of July and August, which enhances the joy of the visitor while seeing the lake. Another important thing about the lake is that, it is the one of the important lake which contributes in the fishing industry in a great extent.

Amaranth Cave

One of the Hindu pilgrimage place, situated at a distance of 144 kilometers, from the capital Srinagar. The cave in which the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, that us totally made from ice, is present, estimated to be 40 meters high that is 130 in feet. As per the religious beliefs, it is that particular place in which Lord Shiva explained about his life and all his secrets to his wife, Maa Parvati. Its value among the Hindu religion is very high, as millions of Hindus travel per year here from every corner of the world, just to take blessings of The Bholenath.

Pari Mahal

Beautiful example of compilation of both natural and man-made efforts. Also known as the Palace of Fairies, located at the top of Zabarwan mountains. This was built by Mughals, for the residential purpose for their Kings and princes during the summer season, which also constitutes a beautiful garden around it.

Martand Sun Temple

Martand Sun Temple is located 64 Kilometers from Srinagar. This was made in the Nagara style by Lalaaditya Muktapid. Later, a Muslim ruler named Sikander Butshikan, who was famous for destructing the beautiful monuments ordered to destruct the temple, but after trying for almost a decade , they were not able to destruct it completely. However its beauty and structure was demolished by them.

Wular Lake

Another beautiful example of nature's art, one of the largest fresh water lake in the country. It is in the Bandipura district of Kashmir. In ancient times, this was known as Mahapadmasar. More than eight thousands of fishermen runs their life with the help of this lake. It is a major point of attraction in Kashmir.
