Origin: The Journey to Thea

Origin is a YouTube Red exclusive. It is about a group of people who travel on a spaceship to a new planet, five light years away from earth. This a planet called Thea. Little do they know their journey will be more perilous than their lives on Earth! The Main Characters are Shun Kenzaki, Lana Pierce, Logan, Katie Devlin, and Henri Gasana.

Thea is the first known planet to harbour human life and, is five light years away from Earth. It's under colonisation by an interplanetary company called the Siren Corporation. Colonising a planet requires an enormous amount of manpower. So, they started a recruitment program in which Shun and several others signed up in the promise of a new life. The Origin is one of a kind spaceship which is bound for Thea. It transports passengers and crew instrumental for its colonisation. It has 1000 passengers and 500 crew members. The Origin has 10 levels called rings. Each ring has living quarters, hibernation pods, food and life support systems.

The story begins with Shun waking up in a hibernation capsule. He finds Lana, Katie, Henri, Lee and Devlin out of hibernation. They hear a message on a radio, that there is someone hurt badly in Cell 50. Lana, Shun and Henri, who has some medical expertise, investigate. When they

reach the cell, they find a woman bleeding. They also find several dead bodies around her. Shun finds a shot, yet live human; Taylor. He tells them that an extra-terrestrial parasite forced the entire crew to abandon ship. The next morning, Lee found Taylor dead. Henri performs an autopsy on the body. To his shock, he finds a live alien parasite in his skull. He analyses and discovers that it takes over a host and makes them forget their identity. He keeps the parasite in a freezer for the night.

The next day, to his disbelief, he finds the freezer empty. Logan suspects that Lee stole the parasite. So, he attacks her and accidentaly kills her. Henri performs an autopsy on Lee. But there, he finds no parasite. Lee was innocent. Thea is on the horizon and everyone makes plans for landing. That night, Shun discovers a photograph of Taylor and his brother Sam in Lana’s room. He remembers that Lana told him that her brother’s name was Sam. Shun investigates, he finds a paused video of Taylor talking about his life on Earth. Shun knew then that Lana is the one infected. Lana creeps up behind him and points a gun to his head. After a tense combat and a standoff, Shun knocks her out. Shun then puts her in a transport capsule and sends her to Thea, knowing that people there would know how to get the parasite out of her head.
