Chemically synthesized peptides have a free amino terminal. With N-terminal modification, the charge is removed from the amino terminus of the peptide. Some modifications are immunoadjuvants to enhance antibody production. Some are linkers to allow the conjugation of peptides to other biomolecules. n-terminal acetylation peptide synthesis https://www.pepdd.com/services/n-terminal-modification.html
