THE IMPORTANCE OF SLEEP

..........just telling that to myself because I sleep at 2 in the morning courtesy of Coco aka Corona ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love sleeping, I love it so much that I can sleep for a day or two straight. You might ask me then, how come you need to "remember" to sleep. That's simple, I love scrolling through facebook, or watching a midnight movie, sometimes it can even be an entire season or a full anime. *feeling sheepish* Hence this profound article on the importance of sleep.

Putting together a list of benefits of sleep after a quick search through google, I can say that it plays an utmost important role in our mental and physical well being. Sleeping apparently is involved in healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels.  It boosts our immune system and helps prevent weight gain, improve memory and increase productivity. Their words, not mine. I mean, my 3 year stay at a convent run ladies hostel has seen me sleep for almost 2 days straight, during the weekends, but I grew fatter, became even more tired to get up from bed and lose the memory of what I studied the previous day because I was tired from sleeping too much. And I was suddenly falling sick like it was nobodies business. But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe I am just plain weird or I am a lower race from Krypton. *non-commital shrug* I dunno ok?! I dunno! (P.S: At this point of time I will take any planet other than Earth)

Anyways~~, sleep is seemingly important because ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke. And so, off I go to catch up on all the sleep that I have missed. Good night and sweet dreams. May you stay in bed for 12 hours and hence stay healthy. ;)

Super short 'cause I have already started yawning and can't seem to stop ;) ;)
