Kerala is one of the most beautiful state, located in the south western India. It is also known as 'the God's own country' and 'Spices Capital of India' . The largest amount of spices are produced here in all over the country. Kerala is one of the cleanest city in India. The world Kerala means 'the land of coconuts'. While whole of the country is struggling with the health issues, Kerala has one of the best and well established health infrastructure in the country. 

 

 

So here are few of the most beautiful places from the star, Kerala.

Varkala Beach

 

Varkala Beach also known as 'the Pearl of the Arabian Sea', is located 39 kilometers from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. It is one of the ridges beach and these ridges are considered as the geological monuments by Geological Survey of India( GSI). The beauty of the beach gain its whole beauty during the months of October, November, January and March. Visiting here in summer season is not that much good idea. This beach has some religious values too, also known as 'Papanasham Beach', which means to curing from every sin.

 

Athirappilly Waterfall


Athirappilly waterfall is the largest waterfall in Kerala. It is also known as 'the Niagara of India' . As per the locals, it is the perfect place to spend weekend and is a good picnic spot also. The forest around it, is rich in wildlife. Large amount of species of flora as well as fauna can be observed her. According to the reports, every year about seven million people visit here, making it one of the most loved tourist place in South India. 

 

Eravikulam National Park

 

Eravikulam National park is located in the Kannan Devan hills of the southern state Kerala. This National park is the first national park of the state, spreaded in an area of 97 kilometers square. Basically, it is the home and a sanctuary for the Nilgiri Tahr. Worth to visit this National park, as very well maintained by the park authority and government. 

 

 

Mattancherry Palace

 

Mattancherry Palace is a museum cum Portuguese palace located in Kochi, Kerala. Inside the palace, there is a lot of written and illustrated version of history of Kerala, specifically that about Kochi. This palace is also known as ' The Dutch Palace'. This place is like must visit, for those who like to know about the past of Kerala. 

 

Chembra


 

Chembra is one of the highest peak in the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is the most beautiful natural place as well as a trekking spot. It is around 2100m above the sea level. Another beautiful thing about the place is the Heart lake, also called Hridayasarassu, it is a heart shaped pond. This shape of the particular pond is totally natural and no interference was done by the people.
