PLOT-

Peaky blinders is British crime drama show which airs on BBC and is available on Netflix. What is so special about this show that I am raising this debate? See when you will ask someone which are the best TV shows or web series some would say breaking bad and many would say game of thrones but rarely will you hear peaky blinders. I am raising this debate because if you will see that show you will feel like you are drinking a very smooth whisky it is like an music it is Cillian Murphy beautiful and impactful acting as Thomas Shelby and how he copes with all the problems which he face in the show and how at last he overcomes them at last come as champion in this game of crime and betrayal.

See the thing about this show it is set in old Birmingham of 1919 just after the World War 1 when the boys of Shelby family have return just after the war. They form a gang of boys and they call themselves Peaky Blinders because they wear a certain type of cap in which they sew blades and strike with them in their enemy eyes. The leader of their gang is Thomas Shelby played by Cillian Murphy and wow what a role he has it is like he was made for this role and one more specialty of this show is how they use the old Birmingham accent and how all the characters have played it. The character of Thomas big brother Arthur Shelby is played by Paul Anderson another beautiful performance his accent his dialogues like “this is done by the orders of peaky blinders” are just brilliant and how his character changes with each season that is also fascinating to watch.

Now come on female characters the Shelby family is very big one of the main character in show is Polly Gray played by Helen McCrory she has made this as of her own. Her charisma her accent her dressing sense her brilliant acting everything makes this one of the best female character played by an actor in the television history. She is the right hand to Thomas and almost matches to Thomas brain.

The thing which is unique about this show which makes it unique and different from other shows is its aura and its class which is so delightful to watch. The older British society how they used to live what was their culture and what type of society was there in Britain that all things are shown in this show. The impact of World War 1 on the British boys is also shown in this shown what mental effect it brings in the minds of the boys who have fought in the war this also we came to know by seeing this show.

SEASON 6 UPDATE-

Each season consist of 6 episodes which are approximately of one hour. Till now 5 seasons have aired of this show which means 30 episodes and in the end of season the season has end on cliff hanger. We are waiting eagerly for the next season and BBC has officially renewed season 6 for this crime drama British series. It is expected to be aired in early 2021 but because of the hit of covid 19 it release date can be extended but whatever happens when it will release it will be a blast.

I will recommend this show highly to all people who want to see class and who are big fan of acting because it has all crime, drama, action, thriller and bit of humor as well we can say light humor.

Its IDMb rating is 8.8 but I think it deserve much higher than this. According to me it is the most underrated show I have ever seen.
