On the 4th of July singer-rapper, Kanye West tweeted "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020 vision" contesting against Donald Trump and Joe Bidden.
Adding fuel to the fire, the 70-year-old Olympic star and reality TV actor Caitlyn Jenner was seen lightly telling a man while leaving Starbucks on Thursday 16 July that she texted Kanye and said- "can I be your VP?" in a video acquired by TMZ. She was asked if she would vote for him. While there are no insights into the seriousness of the matter the unpredictable duo would be quite a shocker. Or as stepfather in law Jenner said "What a combination!"
Members of the much-publicized and controversial KUWTK (Keeping Up With The Kardashians) clan have long supported the singer. Khloe Kardashian fashioned a 'Kanye for president' baseball cap in 2019 and 2020 and posted "Mr. West!!! " alongside a Kanye as president meme while his wife Kim Kardashian retweeted his tweet with the American flag emoji. Back in 2015 beauty mogul Kylie Jenner shared a "Kanye West for President" graphic. Others including Elon Musk, CEO Tesla and billionaire businessman tweeted “you have my full support”.
That is not all the family drama. The sneaker designer is trending after he left his audience shocked on Twitter. Despite his seemingly positive relations with the Kardashian family, Kanye West was seen in an unexpected Twitter rant with the 64-year-old Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. Screenshots of the now-deleted hostile tweets are circulating all over the Internet accusing mother in law Kris to be a "white supremacist". Kanye titled the Kardashian-Jenner mom "Kris Jong-un” ( in reference to the current North Korea leader Kim Jong-un ). Unlike her reputation at handling affairs, Jenner broke the Internet silence by avoiding the drama and posted a short clip on her Instagram story of a box of pastries! In another tweet, he accused his wife to have "locked him up with a doctor" like in the movie ‘Get Out’. In his first speech while campaigning at South Carolina the singer teared up while yelling “ I almost killed my daughter ” as Kim considered abortion of their first child, North. According to a source close to the family, Kim feels that Kanye “Crossed the line”.
Kanye West has long talked about contesting for the presidential elections. In 2015 West expressed his desire at the Vanity Fair and MTV Music Video awards declaring he would run for president in 2020. In a four-hour-long interview with Forbes, the Grammy winner told his campaign slogan will be “YES” and as an independent candidate West will run for the “Birthday Party”. The rapper has announced his upcoming clothing line with Gap called the Yeezy Gap and an album titled ‘God's country’ the release date for which is not out yet.
