This article provides some useful tips and tricks to make you more productive at work

Everyday comes with its own set of challenges to overcome and goals to meet. Being productive may be difficult somedays because of stress, anxiety and pressure. So, here are some tips for you to boost your productivity at work and be at your productive best:

  • Make to-do lists : this is the most useful tip I can ever give you. Everday before going to bed, take a notebook and make a list of things you want to achieve the next day. If you wish, you could choose to do this the next morning as well. Making to-do lists helps you put the tasks you have achieve out on paper for you to see. This ensures that you don't forget important tasks and helps to clear your mind. You could tick things off your list as you go on completing them.
  • Make your commute productive : Many of us spend a lot of time commuting. You can make this time productive by utilising it effectively. On your commute, you could listen to your favorite podcast, learn a new language or even read the news headlines of the day.
  • The Pomodoro Technique : This is a scientifically proven technique to boost your productivity and help you concentrate while working for long intervals. It calls for breaking your work into several smaller segments and taking a short break in between the segments. A lot of people swear by this technique and have found it effective. You could divide your time into 20 minutes of working with 5 minutes of break in between segments. This way you'll be less exhausted and bored. Once you make this hack a part of your routine, you'll start seeing just how effective it is and how much more productive you've become.
  • The five minute rule : this is something that I've found to help me a lot. It basically says, if the task can be achieved in less than 5 minutes, then go ahead and finish it immediately and get it out of your way. For example, if you have a few plants to water, go ahead and water them if its not going to take you more than 5 minutes to do. This can help in avoiding your work from piling up.
  • Make time for a quick workout : Exercising is linked to the release of endorphins or "Happy Hormones" which will in turn make you more productive. Take atleast 15 minutes off your day to squeeze in a quick workout, it will surely help boost your productivity.
