Hey you, yes you! You are beautiful, stunning, unique, gorgeous, wonderful, talented..the list is endless. But these things won't matter if you are not kind to yourself! Can you honestly say taht you love yourself enough? As human beings, we are always so inclined towards looking at the negative side of things, we always try focusing more on the bad and very little on the good. We are so used to dwelling on our insecurities and not celebrating the blessings in our lives. This does more harm to your emotional health than you think. It is extremely important to focus on our well-being and happiness, that is when you will truly shine!

So do yourself a favor and try practicing atleast one of the following tips that lead you towards caring and loving yourself better, everyday.

  • Forgive yourself: We are not used to dealing with failure correctly, we let our mistakes define us, hammer us down and jump to unnecessary conclusions. It is necessary to learn to forgive yourself, mistakes happen and are a part of life. Its important to take failure on our stride, see it as a lesson and learn from it. Failure may affect us a lot and may casue us experience a range of emotions, make sure you accept the reality, repair what is damaged and move on. Making amends is an important step in forgiving oneself.
  • Start a journal : Think of journaling as documenting your "life story". Jouurnaling regularly can lead to greater tolerance, decreased emotional reactivity and makes you more mindful. Journaling can give our lives a sense of purpose and make us emotionally stronger. Its a healthy outlet for your feelings and emotions. understanding and confronting difficult emotions allows the healing process to begin. The best part about journaling is that it helps you focus on those areas of your life which matter the most.
  • Celebrate your wins: Celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Even if its making your first online sale, or finishing that artwork which was started years ago or getting a small increment in your salary, celebrate it and be joyous. You deserved it and are worthy of it. Small wins will make you feel great about yourself and the progress you have been making and will thus help achieve more complex goals.
  • Give yourself a break: It sometimes becomes necessary to give yourself a breather. What this does is it allows things around you remain as they are, without expectations. Use this time to think, organize and find a better perspective or more efficient solutions. Allow yourself to sleep in on a lazy Sunday morning, order from your favorite eatery, go to bed earlier than usual, treat yourself to some retail therapy, catch up with some friends. This will freshen you up and make you more focused at your upcoming tasks.
  • Be kind: Yes, treating others with and respect helps you be a better person and gives you a sense of satisfaction. It always feels great to treat people the way you want them to treat you. Sometimes they may not treat you the same way, don't let that affect you as it is their problem, not yours. Simple acts of kindness like holding the door open for someone or buying someone a cup of coffee can go a long way in helping you be a better person.
  • Learn to say "No": At some point in our lives we get asked things we don't necessarily would want to do or say. It becomes important to refuse to do things that do not sit right with your judgement. Learn to say 'No'. It only takes a second, but gives you so much relief and will help you avoid unwanted situations. It isn't easy to say "no",it feels so negative. Agreed. But it definitely is easier than being put in a situation where you do not want to be.
  • You do not have to please them all: No matter how good a person you are, people will always have something bad to say about you. You are not responsible for holding the whole world on your shoulders. All of us our judgemental, including you. Just turn a deaf year towards hate and negativity, you know yourself better than anybody else does. If you'er doing well, they seem to have a problem. If you're not doing so well, they still try to talk you down. Constructive criticism is good but when it turns into full - blown hate, its time to walk away.
  • Make a vision board: Making a vision board helps you lay your long-term plans in front of you where you can see them.It helps you set the right intention and motivates you to work towards reaching your goal. It helps you place your goals where you can see them which makes you more likely to accomplish them in the long run.
  • Get creative : We all have a little creativity hidden in us! Unleash it every once in a while. You cannot go wrong with creativity so no don't go judging your work here! Creativity will enhance your mind and helps you think outside the box. Creativity gives you news ways of expressing yourself. Expressing yourself in a creative way is important. 
  • Be around people who make you feel good about yourself: End toxic relationships, people who try to bring you down have no place in your life.
